Muriel Coleman Room Divider Shelving for Pacifica 1952

Rare and inventive shelving/room-divider by Coleman designed in 1952 is an iconic example of California design.

Coleman, a member of the Pacifica Group based in California, is the only designer to utilize re-bar; she does so here with the finesse of a minimalist sensitive to materials and their potential to organize a design concept.

See Nelson Casegoods published 1952. Also see Pacifica catalogs and various period issues of Interiors.

Børge Mogensen sofa

Finding an authentic one is quite difficult.  I may have to settle for a high quality replica…

(I had an opportunity to buy a pair of matching Mogensen loveseats for $800 two years ago. Yeah, I know, I should have bought them when I had the chance.)
