Track Day Part II

The velodrome has not officially opened yet, so we had to brush off some broken branches and leaves from the west side of the track before we started sprinting.  Jonah Takalua and his gang were hanging out at the north end of the track while we were there.  Deco and I both wished we could have hung out at a nearby velodrome when we were hoodlums in high school.

We took a short break to let couple of cool guys with gas-powered RC cars have some track time.

I think both of us wanted to spend some more time at the track, but the park closes at dusk and it was a long ride back to Brooklyn.

Here is the first decent shot of my completed Uno Pista build.

It was pretty boring tooling around my neighborhood at 14 mph.  (too many potholes)   I’d say it was about as fun as jogging.  Deco and I are hoping to make our trip over to the velodrome tomorrow afternoon.

Who wants to go to Kissena?

We must still be under the influence of the supermoon because I just spent the past few hours riding my Keirin bike around Brooklyn.

Back into the rafters you go, you ain’t coming out until we’re headed to Kissena.

If I purchased this bar and stem combo at Chari & Co, it would cost me about $220 plus tax.

I never pay retail, I am the Master Chief of ebay sniping.  $70 SHIPPED.
